Selection of Wedding Banquet Venue is REALLY very FUN~

Wanted to select Hotel Re! as we were there staycation when we met up the manager~
I like it cos its the only ballroom there and you will be the only Bride at that moment~
But my sis pointed out, if it rain, the guest might be drenched.
But I was really tempted by the OpenHouse Promo, 2Night stay and the Jacuzzi in Room~
2nd Choice THat I really wanted is Park Royal @ Pickering
But the slot we wanted they are full and the experience with them was not too good ~
I was ask to go and view the ballroom myself and every thing is just via email~
No personal touched and do not feel welcome at all~
Which is a very different experience I had with other hotels which their ballroom is also not available~
Really Glad that I have selected Mandarin Oriental~
The overall experience was good, just some hiccups @ the end as the banquet manager was being changed without any notification~
Which lost a bit of personal touch, more corporate feeling.
I did not ask why, but I still can;t understand why dry ice could not be provided for 2nd March In~
So in the end, I had flower petals only~

Number of Chairs is adjustable as per request.
They originally arrange 30 chairs for me, but as my relative is coming and many friends claims that they will be here for the solemnization so I requested for 50~
But end up the room is kind of empty~

Well at least they do not need to squeeze and sit together~

Mandarin Oriental also have really good service~
They actually assigned 1 Staff to take care of me~
The staff that assigned to me is called Jia Er~
She is really good and always around helping me without me knowing ~

She also got me a pair of Hotel Slipper at the end of the banquet as my leg hurts~
I am not use to heels and there are lots of walking!
Other then Jia Er~
Tim [I hope I did not remember the name wrongly] , the Banquet manger is also very attentive and observant.

He noticed that I am a left hander~
Offer to bring me a cup of warm water as I was touching my stomach before the 1st March In~
I did not mention anything, that I am nervous or feeling uncomfortable~
He get Jia Er to ensure my gown is arranged properly so that the black stain on my gown cannot be seen when I march in~
He also arrange the chairs/seats that suit me [my left hand] ~
Of course the utensil/cutlery is also placed at the correct side for me~
He quickly get us drinks once we sat down.
After the 2nd March in he also quickly serve us food once we sat down~
When the banquet ends, I was feeling giddy so I went up the room with my sis and Jia Er,
Tim volunteer to go and find My Lee as he went to make some payment.

As my wedding started real early~
I got up at 1:30am to wash up and my make up start at 3:30am
Drunk alcohol with empty stomach made us REAL drunk and tired~
We K.O once every 1 left.
Mr Lee drank more then me, he felt too tired to get up and eat his food, I had to feed him while he was lying down after I have slept for 4 hrs~
WAhahaha~!
Other then the HighTea and Food from banquet~
WE also have $60 Room Service Credit~
and also Breakfast @ THe MElt World Cafe~
But we over slept !
I was so pissed with my self~ HMMPHF~
WE make full use of the $60 !

And its really comfortable staying in Mandarin Oriental Suite~

We received chocolate from our banquet manager which was sent to our home~
To thank us for holding our wedding at Mandarin Oriental~

Not too sure this is a standard procedure or it is cos that we feed back that the chocolate strawberry is moldy~
But the chocolate is REALLY NICE~
Other then from my personally experience, The feedback I gotten from guest are mostly praises~
They mention that the drinks are refilled or change to a new glass by the service staff without having to request.
The food from the menu is surprising as they have not come across. E.g Chili Crab Bun / Cod Fish Fillet.
Some guest even request for extra serving of the Dessert, they got it and no extra charges to us~
Food is really nice and the Food portion is not small ~
Negative feedback from 1 guest are no extra bun for the Chili Crab when request.
Another 1 comment that Food portion too small.
The negative feedback i felt is not really bad as maybe they may not have prepare extra bun and portion might be too little for big eater~
I am a big eater myself but I felt the food was enough when I had my food tasting ~
Mandarin Oriental is the best choice to hold Wedding~
Good service + Good Food~
