Yan Palace Dim Sum = Childhood Memories~

My parents will bring me and my sister to dim sum every weekend when we were young...

The most frequent visited was Yan Palace ~

The restaurant was just walking distance to where we were staying ~ 

Visited the Hong Lim Park A Few Times~

The decoration is very old school~ Felt as if you have travel back to older time~

Service is also not the best but acceptable~

The food is the key point here~

Siew Mai~

With Prawn and Pork~

NO fat at all~

Its almost like Har Gao [Shrimp Dumpling]

Pork Rips

Its was once my fav. but I have stop ordering it as I grow up as it always come with lots of fats from other restaurant~

This pork rips is with more meat and there are also pumpkin bites to remove the fattiness

Prawn Cheong Fan

The Skin is in-between smooth and rough~

You are able to pick it up with your chopstick but it will still slip off if you are too slow~

Prawn is fresh~ 

Kong Ba Bao~

Its really good~

The pork has balance pork and lean meat~

i tried 2 x ..

The meat that contain the most fats still have lots of lean meat~

You will not felt that it is too oil when you eat it ~

The meat is soft ~

Roast Pork~

The Skin is roasted till very Crispy and is not VERY HARD~

Yes~I have very weak teeth~ 

Some restaurant roasted the skin till crispy and it will be come very hard~

I think they have over roasted it ~

Yan Palace 1 is just nice~

When chew on, the fragrant felt like i have eating suckling pig~

When it is served, it is still warm~

Which i seldom experience this when I had this dish else where~

Liu Sha Bao~

Their is 1 of my favourite~

They balance the salted eye and the sweetness well~

Har Gao~

The prawn have no fridge smell~

The skin... Nothing to praise ~

Over fried on this visit~

The look is ugly too~

It used to be prettier~

Shark Fin Dumpling Soup~

2nd Fail Dish~

Maybe we reached too early, the soup has very bland taste~

Which this is not the standard on my previous visits ~

It is still worth and recommended to order~

MAngo Pudding~

A must to order~

For those who love Mango Pudding~

Yan Palace is value for money, the items portion is = the the money paid~

You will not have the feeling, pay for the food but the food portion is so small~

and the Service charge is only at 5%~
